Amy Keahi

Director/Staff Mentor

In 2002 I moved to Sioux Center & married Tony Keahi.  In 2013 we were blessed with our daughter, Acacia.  Tony & I are passionate about & involved in combining music & prayer with intimacy with God.  We enjoy being involved in the life of our church..

In 2005, I was challenged to come up with a personal Biblical mandate.  I put a lot of time & prayer into this mandate, & I believe that it accurately describes my passions, & my favorite verses, so I would like to share it with you:

"I will seek intimacy with God (Matthew 25:1-13) by passionately worshiping Him (Romans 12:1-2), surrounding myself with others who encourage me (Hebrews 12:1), being obedient to God (2 Peter 1:5-11), & viewing my life in light of eternity (Phillipians 1:21-22)."

Staff Mentor

My husband Alan & I live on an acreage near Sioux Center.  We have four great kids: Jacob, Madison, Carsyn, & Camryn.  Together we enjoy raising German Shepherds, camping & spending time with family & friends.  I joined the ATLAS staff in 2005 & have found it a true blessing.  I am especially passionate about helping people find freedom from the things that keep them from experiencing true joy in their life.  I believe that joy can only be found in a relationship with Christ marked with depth & genuine worship.  At ATLAS, we are called to walk with others on the journey to discover this joy, & for that, I am blessed that God placed me here.  No one is beyond the reach of God's amazing grace, & it's a privilege to experience His ability to transform lives every day.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future...nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

Brad Vermeer

Staff Mentor

My name is Brad Vermeer, and I have been married to Glenda for 38 years.  We have been blessed with 2 girls and 2 boys who have blessed us with 10 grandchildren.  We have taken care of the Sandy Hollow Campground since it started in 1990.  We love family, so we spend as much time with our children and their children as we possibly can.  I love to help people understand that having more peace inside happens when we give up our agenda, and give in to God's agenda for us.

A part of scripture that means a lot to me is Philippians 4:4-9, "Always be  full of joy in the Lord.  Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do"  but I often understand verses better when I read an application.  Here is the application for those verses.  "Peace and Joy come when we focus on those things that provide lasting value to our life.  The more we commit ourselves to knowing God's will through prayer and study of His Word, the better prepared we are to help ourselves and others."

Kelly Franje

Staff Mentor

I am grateful for the opportunity to love other people as I have been shown the love of Christ in my life.  God's love is never-ending, unstopping, it goes on forever, and it doesn't depend on my performance.  Understanding my identity as His child encourages me to daily submit my life to Him; including all the joys and the fears.

Psalm 145 reminds me of who God is, what my heart posture towards Him should be, and what that should look like in my life.  Only He deserves all the worship and glory! vs 8-12 "The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.  The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.  All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.  They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom."

I live in Rock Valley with my husband Kurt and our daughter Matea, who joined our family in 2017.  We enjoy going for walks, bike rides, and gathering together with friends around the table to enjoy a great meal, a game of cards, or a board game.

Lori Wolf

Mentor Coordinator

I am thankful to work as the mentor coordinator for ATLAS.  I find great fulfillment in serving the Lord through serving His people.

John 15 has been a passage that has meant a lot to me throughout the years, and continues to impact me, even in my position as mentor coordinator.  I reflect on verses 5 and 8 and know that it is only through the Lord that I am able to serve His people. "I am the vine; you are the branches.  If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.  This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

My husband Nate and I recently moved back to the area after living in Minnesota for a few years. We both like to run and generally enjoy spending time together outdoors, especially playing with our dog.  I also like to read and crochet.

Tony Keahi

Equipping Coordinator

After 13 years as a middle school math teacher, I felt called to join my wife Amy in ministry at ATLAS of Sioux Center.  I have the privilege of walking alongside young men & women who are involved in the ATLAS Internship.  As interns they devote time to personal/spiritual development as well as walking alongside the hurting people that come to ATLAS.  I enjoy leading worship, doing carpentry, & spending time with friends & family.

"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.  Be completely humble & gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.  Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit though the bond of equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith & in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."   Ephesians 4:1-3,12-13

Ashley Egdorf

Office Manager

My husband, David & I live in Sioux Center.  We have two daughters, and they bring so much joy to our lives!  We also enjoy being outside & golfing together.  I have a passion for music & love to sing.  I joined the ATLAS staff in 2008 & am grateful to be a part of it.  I enjoy sharing a smile with those who walk in the door.  My biggest prayer is that  clients feel safe, welcome, and are touched by the love of Christ through ATLAS.

"From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another." John 1:16

Leah Weikert

In 2014, my husband Ezra began working for the city of Sioux Center.  I worked at the middle school as an ESL Para until 2016 when we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Elexa May.  I had heard of ATLAS off and on and when a friend told me and my husband about a part-time receptionist opening, I knew it was the answer to my prayer.  I had been praying about what God would have me do on a part-time scale and this sounded like a perfect fit.

The book of Romans is always such an encouragement to me as I read through it and see who I am in Christ Jesus, and I want to be used in others' lives to help them find this reality as well.
