Hope Soars Services - assisting individuals, couples, and families to overcome personal and relational difficulties. Our vision is that individuals, couples, and families would be aided in the development of their highest potential through meaningful life change. We offer grace-based counseling, group support, and educational opportunities for learning, sharing and growing. Isaiah 40:31 "... those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength… they will soar!"

Hi! Denny and I are empty nesters and live on an acreage just North of Sioux Center with our two dogs Daisy Mae and Jazmine Joy. Together we have 8 kids, 18 grandkids, and 5 great grandkids. We certainly have been blessed. May 1996 I completed my education at Dordt College with a BA in Psychology. I went on to get my Masters of Education from Wayne State College graduating in 1999. I started my private practice Hope Soars Services that same year. When ATLAS opened their doors in 2000 I was invited to come to their building and work together with them to bring wholeness and healing to a hurting world. I counsel in many areas of concern but my passion is working with women to create an atmosphere of healing and empowerment so they can become the women that God created them to be. I'm enjoying the journey.

Tara Boer - MSW

My husband and I grew up here in Northwest Iowa where we both went to high school and college. I graduated from Dordt College in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Social Work. In 2007, my husband and I moved to Florida where I provided substance abuse and mental health treatment to delinquent teenagers and their families. I received my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida in 2009. I went on to provide therapy for abused and traumatized children, teenagers, and families before moving back to Iowa in June of 2011. God continues to entrust me to work with hurting members of this community, and I feel grateful to be a part of the the work that He is doing in this place.
